WRITING RETREATS

It's been two years in the works renovating the seaside cottage in Sointula, but we now have a permanent location for our summer writing retreats. If you're looking to get serious about that first nonfiction book contract or breaking into travel writing for publication, next retreats are June and July 2023.

Stay tuned for some videos and photos of my December 2022 expedition cruise in Antarctica, following in the footsteps of mariner Mary Ann Patten. I'll be in LA later this spring researching women's diaries of the Cape Horn transit, and hoping to be able to announce a new book sometime in 2024.
